Gamers' Inn is removing their LAN effective 1/2/12. I am losing prime net access!

DECEMBER 1, 2011

Weird day. Had car problems; steering was making odd noise. Though I would have to lay up the car for a while. Found gas for 3.07 again. A run to Shea blvd. was rejected and I had to take it to Baseline Rd. later. On the way home I stopped by the mechanic. Ricky wasn't there but I told the guy on duty about the noise and he listened to it. He said I needed power steering fluid. I went right to Auto Zone and got some. I put it in right in the parking lot, then drove to Carl's Jr. and Gamers Inn. When I returned to the car the noise was practically gone.

NOVEMBER 25, 2011

Scott had no runs for me today. Unlike last year, when I got to do the bank run on Black Friday. We don't have that run anymore.

NOVEMBER 24, 2011

Ate Thanksgiving dinner at Markus's and took a few pics. At work, the only people from my store there were Daniel, Laurabelle and Don. All the others were form different stores. I felt like I was at another store. Hear a lot fo "Alice's Restaurant" on KSLX. I stayed at the store the whole four hours but only did two deliveries.

NOVEMBER 23, 2011

At 19th and Mountain View a motorcycle ran over or dropped something in the road. Then I heard a zoom and a thump. I looked to my left and the bike had hit a tree or something and the person was lying on the ground not moving. I called 911 and pulled around. By the time I got there about 6 people or so were near the person, whom it turns out was female. She was conscious and able to move a bit but it hurt. Later at church, Horst was on the phone with someone telling him about a plane that had crashed into the Superstition Mountains. This day really makes you think about how things can change in an instant.

NOVEMBER 18, 2011

Worked at Papa John's for about 15 minutes and they let me go to the dance. Even though Katy and Ashley weren't there (again) I still had a pretty good time. Danced with Brittney and talked to her mom who looks a lot like Michelle Pfeiffer. I gave a fruit punch soda to Hannah, who was making one of her rare appearances. After the dance I saw her throw it away without opening it. Funny, she accepted it when I offered. Guess I'll write her off as just another flake. BTW, I just took a sip of the soda.

NOVEMBER 17, 2011

Got paid a day early! God laid it on my heart to pay the late car insurance. I went home and was going to look for the payment coupon when the doorbell rang. It was the mailman with a certified letter from Progressive, and I used that payment coupon when I went down and paid the overdue bill.

NOVEMBER 11, 2011

I got to go to the dance because they offered to let me off work if I took 72 2-liter bottles of soda to the store at Signal Butte/Apache. An older couple there helped me bring it in. Katy and Ashley weren't at the dance. I got the Alicia Keys CD back and they actually played Empire State of Mind at the dance! I let Sammie listen to it at the store while I went to QT. I pulled up to pump #11 and at 11:10 told the guy I wanted to put $11.11 worth of gas in. He knew what I wanted to do and even times the receipt to print at 11:11:11 (got the seconds right!) I'll post an image when I get around to scanning it.

NOVEMBER 6, 2011 -- UWS RADIO SHOW AIRS TRIBUTE TO LENA

UWS Radio in Paisley aired a tribute to Lena. I got to the computer about 20 minutes in and caught the last few seconds of Listening To You. Then they had some technical problems and I almost gave up on the show. But then....I heard the voice of Debs Baker! 48 minutes in, they played Lena's version of Hey, Hey, What Do you Say so I am glad I stayed on. They also played Ain't She Sweet, Personality, and Angus read a Facebook post on the air that was posted by Karen Orsborn.

67 minutes into the program, after a brief airing of Sky News, they aired part of an interview with Victor. Then we had the pleasure of listening to Lena's incredible tear-inducing version of Neil Sedaka's Going Nowhere, which I sometimes find difficult to listen to without crying. I then posted a link to the station in the Greenock webcam chatroom. After an announcement from Vincent Pici about the Lena Zavaroni Tribute Fund, Lena sang Smile, the brilliant Charlie Chaplin tune. Rob Randall spoke about how much he and his wife Angela like Lena, and have a Lena night every month. Lena sang Thank You For The Music from her '79 TV series. Vincent introduced Some Of These Days (one of his favorites from the show "Morecambe and Wise"), and This Is It from "For Her Majesty" in 1985 when Lena was at the peak of her beauty.

Angus thanked people after a brief break, and Vincent introduced Lena's version of Barry Manilow's Even Now from her 1980 TV program. He referred to it as a "Power Ballad". Angus read an email from Tina McCracken, and then played "Little" Lena's rendition of the 1921 hit Ma, He's Making Eyes At Me, which is likely her signature tune and will perhaps now be forever associated with this wonderful singer.

"Keeping Lena Zavaroni's memory alive!" then she sang The End Of The World, and a pretty nifty cover of Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World, which UWS shamelessly cut off with The Seekers. Sure, they've gotta do things on a schedule, but they COULD HAVE made an allowance for Lena! (Although to their credit, the song WAS I Know I'll Never find Another You.)

NOVEMBER 4, 2011

I bought the Alicia Keys CD with Empire State of Mind on it and loaned it to the Peoria Community Center so they could download the song. Katy wasn't at the dance.

OCTOBER 13, 2011

Another b-day. Enjoying DirecTV now.

SEPTEMBER 30, 2011

Last drop as near Rural/Elliot. Got gas at Valero for 3.25 but payphone was busted. Couldn't call Markus, which was just as well because on the way home form Adams Agency I got a flat. Couldn't go to the dance.

SEPTEMBER 28, 2011

Went to V.A. appointment. Looks like I have a new doctor. they gave me a flu shot and took 3 blood samples. I asked for a squeeze ball for when they draw blood. It was a squeeze pear, and I appreciated it. didn't go to church tonight because I conked out.

SEPTEMBER 24, 2011

Went to Fry's Electronics and got a new ethernet card and 100 feet of coax. Installed the card after work and hooked up the modem in the den. Modem signal was good but I couldn't get a connection.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2011

28th anniversary of Liberation Day. I did 23 runs, then worked at Papa John's. Sammie let me off around 7:30 and I was able to go to the dance. Got there just after Katy won 12 small cupcakes so she was in a good mood.

SEPTEMBER 18, 2011

I went to South Peoria Baptist near 91st and Olive, there was a girl there who looked SO MUCH LIKE JAMIE that I didn't know it wasn't her until I sat two seats away from her. I am still trying to convince myself that it wasn't her.

SEPTEMBER 7, 2011

At prayer meeting tonight, I found out that the prodigal son had returned to Calvary Baptist. This gives me encouragement that one day Jamie will come to her senses.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2011

I was supposed to work tonight but they asked me if I wanted to go to the dance. I thought it over and said ok. Too late to get Markus, I went there without stopping to change and was still in uniform. Even though Katy wasn't there, I still had good fellowship with Karlea and that other girl.

AUGUST 9, 2011

The angel has flown . . .

JULY 20, 2011

I got online and tried to IM Stacie1978 only to find that she has BLOCKED ME!! I also cannot send her private messages! What is with some women? A little problem sending an IM and they kick you to the curb! You know what? Now I don't think her IM was broken -- she just didn't want to talk to me.

Y'know, 42 years ago today, Man landed on the moon. Keep treating guys this way and someday you'll find that the moon has landed on you.

JULY 19, 2011

Well, the one in Missouri viewed my profile! =) I tried to IM her but there was no response. I found out that someone else's IM's didn;t work, this could probably be the case with the one in Missouri. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She seems like a gem, though.

Here is the full IM:

JULY 18, 2011

Picked up 13 -- count em -- 13 -- packages from the same place at once. Didn't make too much but did do 18 devlieries throughout the day.

Brought a works pizza to Gamers; got back online and found another promising one in Missouri.

JULY 17, 2011

Finally signed up for christiandatingforfree.com. 2 people already viewed my profile but one was in Canada and the other in the Philippines. Found a good one in Yavapai and she became the first one to be added to my favorites.

JULY 15, 2011

Stayed home because of a slight headache, and also because Katy was not going to the dance.

JULY 11, 2011

Good things continue to happen. Markus's dad found an emergency spare tire for me at a junkyard. Also, our water is NOT going to be shut off.

JULY 8, 2011

Talked to Richard. The washing machine broke down.
In brighter news, Katy was at the dance.

JULY 7, 2011

I called my cousin and consoled her. With all the stuff going on I was distracted. At 6:11 I remembered I was supposed to pay the water bill today or else. I went by the deposit thingies but they looked empty. I went to Gamers inn and got online and made a payment.

Well, we got hold of Cynthia. I was good hearing her voice again. She is getting married December 3 I think. The world has ended.

JULY 6, 2011

Received a note from my cousin Kristin. Uncle Joe passed away July 4. No more uncles left on Mom's side of the family.

JULY 3, 2011

Didn't go to Surprise today because I don't have a spare. Went to Calvary after breakfast at McD's and there was a meal after church too. Pastor said one thing that sticks out: "When God's grace is active, failure is never final"

JULY 1, 2011

Finished great week at work. Dance was tonight but Katy didn't show up. She says she will come next week. Ashley didn't eat the sno balls.

JUNE 18, 2011

Dad would have been 84 today.

JUNE 17, 2011

Ended up in Goodyear. Finally found a Bank of America. Good thing I made it there in time -- my balance was exactly ZERO!

JUNE 16, 2011

Pretty good tips tonight. Also did good at courier job.

JUNE 13, 2011

Texted Katy briefly while I was at work but she had to eat. Came close to being able to go to Gompers today.
Someone paid for their pizza entirely in quarters. The tip too.

JUNE 12, 2011

Had lunch with Jamie's parents. Her brother Clinton is getting married in September.

JUNE 8, 2011

Talked to Megan for 3 minutes and 6 seconds today.

JUNE 3, 2011

Good news -- I passed the test for Food Service Worker -- I got my Food Handler's card renewed!!! What's more, the pic is better and I don't look like someone's grandpa anymore.

Called Katy and actually got through -- she was at the dance! I hurried over there and got there about 8:15. It's now NEXT week that I won't go as she will be resting from camp.

JUNE 2, 2011

Had to work tonight so I didn't get down to Gamers Inn. Was able to stop by this morning briefly to check my fb mail; can't believe I missed Debs by seven minutes.
Today was the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the Winslow Saga. Anyone notice?

JUNE 1, 2011

Still trying to decide what to have Debs put on the page. Work was slower than yesterday; was done before 4.

MAY 31, 2011

End of month - BUSY bUSY BUSY! Fifteen runs but some of them paid quite well.
New pics of Katy on her mom's page --- cool.

MAY 29, 2011

Bought some carrot cupcakes for the church social on the way there. They went over pretty well; after it was over I got to have some burgers and dogs to take with me. Went to Gamers Inn and got online a bit. Talked to Debs Baker; I think I have my "Deb"s straight now lol. Also rearranged this blog seeing as how it is now linked to from a Lena tribute site. More Lena to come.

MAY 28, 2011

I got a big honor today -- part of this blog is now on one of the Lena tribute sites -- so is the pic of her a few days down! This made my day!!!
Didn't do much else today except auto loan payment and looking at Katy pics on her mom's page. 99.5 still airing Silent Sam.

MAY 27, 2011

Brought the pic of Katy and I in case she wasn't there. SHE SHOWED UP! YAY! Got to slow dance with her. Later I gave Lauren my name and she sent me a friend request on FB. I just friended her before logging this.
99.5 was dead air tonight so it's just as well that I didn't bring the tape deck.

MAY 24, 2011

Thought it was gonna be slow but actually made a bit MORE money today.
There's a new station on 99.5 in the far NW valley blocking out Tucson's KIIM FM. I first heard it yesterday. At least it plays good stuff.

MAY 23, 2011

I got the night off because it was so slow. Gave Markus his two pictures; went to Fedex Office and finally scanned and uploaded the photo of Katy and I as well as the pic of Lena from the Los Angeles Free Press 10th Anniversary Issue way back when.
I have a story behind THAT one:

I bought that issue in 1974 because of the big number 520 on the cover. There were quotes from various people they had interviewed over their first ten years; among them was a brief quote from Lena, whom I'd first seen a few months earlier on Wonderama singing Take Me Home, Country Roads. There was also a pull-out section with some sleazy ads in it; that's when I thought I'd bought a paper I wasn't supposed to have (I was only 14 at the time), and when I heard my dad coming towards the back room I went to the garage and threw the paper up on the loft. (Our home in California had the garage and adjacent back room separated from the house by a back yard). Dad knew something was up when he saw me taking frequent glances of the loft but he didn't find out about the paper. I never saw it again but I was recently able to buy a copy of it off eBay which didn't have the pullout section but had what I really wanted: the photo of Lena with the quote.

I first heard of the singer's passing while searching for Danny Hutton's song Roses and Rainbows on YouTube, almost exactly two months after my mother died. In the three years since then, I have visited Debs Baker's site and other Lena sites many times and even made a few friends in the Greenock webcam chat room as well as hearing Bute FM over the web. Since then, not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about Lena at least once. I paid scant attention to her career while she was alive and I will spend the rest of my days regretting not keeping up. I think it's safe to assume that Lena has posthumously changed my life. If only I could go back in time and change hers...

MAY 22, 2011

Worked til closing at Mesa/Brown. They were painting the store so I didn't have to do a lot of sweeping. Was a good night for tips despite getting 20¢ tip for delivery I could have walked.

MAY 20, 2011

Markus was sick and couldn't go to the dance. I decided to go in after seeing Kelsea, Virgi and Alicia there. Christy got me the photos. The one of Katy and me came out good; if only she'd close her mouth a bit. Still had good fellowship with a few people and hardly danced at all. Just not the same without Katy.

MAY 18, 2011

Talked to Pastor Wood about something that was done to me on Monday; we prayed and I feel better about the whole thing. I had mentioned it on FB and people are on my side. Two of them have even become friends on there!

MAY 13, 2011

Ended up in Northeast valley; made arrangements for Barry's stepson to get my check to me. Made it to the bank with 15 minutes to spare. They let me use the phone and I called Rosemary. She said Markus wasn't going tonight because of some awards ceremony. I went to Albertsons and then to the dance, getting there early for a change. Hung around outside for a while, even got snoballs to Ashley. By 8:00 Katy hadn't shown so I decided to save the four bucks.

APRIL 22, 2011

Not gonna see Katy for a couple of weeks, and I actually got to give her a goodnight kiss in the parking lot.

APRIL 7, 2011

Slow day at work, better than nothing. Got paged later so I was able to watch Les Feldick on ch 51. Farthest west I went was Central/1st Aves., was mostly in Scottsdale.

APRIL 6, 2011

Finally got the car back in the afternoon around 4. Will be going to work tomorrow. YAY

APRIL 5, 2011

Barely made it to In-N-Out and Gamers. Going stir crazy; had to get out of the house. Skipped NCIS but watched NCIS:LA because Raising Hope was a rerun.

APRIL 4, 2011

Did one run at work, to Apache Junction. Was kind of a hairy experience as I could barely get over 50 on the freeway and had to be at court date at 9. I called court and they said it was ok as long as I made it by end of business day. Took Apache/Main all the way back to Mesa, got ticket dismissed and decided to go to E. Main in case the guy with the bank run showed up. He was busy but I handed off the other package to another driver. Took car in shop; taking longer than I thought. Had to call off work tonight at PJ's.

APRIL 3, 2011

My cellphone is back on (the 480-251-xxxx number.) Those who know the rest can call me now.

APRIL 1, 2011

Wrapped up a record week at the courier service. One place had a whole bunch of documents but I was only to pick up six of them. I told the lady I was picking up all fifteen (guessing at the number); after a couple seconds I said APRIL FOOL.

What's not funny is that I drove the truck to Japan Auto and Ricky said the clutch is going.

MARCH 27, 2011

Boy, that closing routine worked a number on me -- I woke up all worn out, I started coughing and sneezing. Not wanting to disrupt the church service I stayed home. I was able to get off work tonight early and I got to church just before closing prayer. I put the offering in an envelope and gave it to the deacon when we were near the offices. Now I don't feel like I'm robbing God.

MARCH 26, 2011

Got to work at the Mesa/Brown store til closing. Didn't bring a lock so I had all the $$$ in my pocket. One guy didn't have anything smaller than a $50 but I had enough change for him. I couldn't call the store because my phone is out of minutes. Fortunately I made enough so I was able to take the $50 home. I was up front with the mgmt about it though.

MARCH 24, 2011

And now it's time for another You Meet The Nicest People Award:
Delivering some documents to a house in Peoria, I rang the bell and the lady wasn't there but her daughter was home and said to leave the package at the door. I was talking to the dispatch trying to get permission to do so and I went by the door so she would know what was going on. She then said she would sign for it but she wasn't dressed so I told my disptach and waited. After she didn't come out for a few minutes I rang the bell. She opened the door and angrily asked "What do you want me to do?!" I told her I just needed a signature and she said "I'm sick in bed!" (She didn't tell me that before.) Trying not to let it get to me or embarrass my uniform I apologized. After she took the clipboard she threw her mother's package on the floor (I hope you're reading this, Mrs. Quattrochi!) and then signed her last name. When I got the clipboard back I said "Have a nice day" and she slammed the door.
"YOU MEET THE NICEST PEOPLE...."

MARCH 22, 2011

Got through the day ok. After going to In-N-Out I had just enough time to go home and change, then to Papa John's. On the way in I noticed a couple of burger stains on my pants; I soon saw that the burger had juicd a big hole in the bag! Thank God none of the stuff fell out! Tasty just the same.
Did ok closing tonight; I think it was the best night since Sept. 19, 2009.

MARCH 16, 2011

Had a dream about Jamie this morning. She wanted to get back together and I hugged her and accepted and we both started crying. When I woke up I was disappointed that it was only a dream.

MARCH 11, 2011

Last run was to Avondale, not too far from Stacey. I went to Circle K and got the phone turned back on again then went to Arby's. Called Stacey but she wasn't going. Texted Danielle but she wasn't feeling good. Just as well, the dance tonight wasn't interesting at all. I should stayed home or gone to Lisa's. Hope Daniel is ok; he had a medical problem at the dance and had to be taken to the hospital.

MARCH 4, 2011

Dance was great tonight! Not the same old music, plus Katy, Rachel and Hannah were there. I cam so close to kissing Katy. SO CLOSE

MARCH 1, 2011

What a harrowing day! I needed to pay my auto insurance or it was going to expire. I couldn't increase my loan on the Lumina because they needed to see the miles and I had driven the truck to the place. Couldn't increase the truck loan due to the fact that it has over 330,000 miles on it. Made a phone call tonight and was able to make a partial payment on the insurance, so God pulled through again. AMEN

FEBRUARY 28, 2011

Vehicle insurance is touch and go now. Hope I can take out even more money for loan. There's no grace period and they'll cancel it if I don't have about $526 in by tomorrow night at midnight.

Good news, though: Said Musa was released from prison. PRAISE GOD

FEBRUARY 9, 2011

Worked at the Mesa Dr. and Brown Rd. store tonight. Had a bit of adventure on Center St. - Parked on the driveway where the mailbox with the right address was. I went to the door and heard some rustling sounds in the bushes next to the house. Wasn't sure if it was human or animal, I said hello a couple of times. The rustling soon stopped and I thought I saw a person walk away out towards the street. No answer at the house so I went to the one next to it. This was the right one and I told the guy at the door what had happened. He said his stepdad lived at that house and some stuff had been ripped off recently. I gave him his pizza and got a $3.20 tip. As I was leaving I went back to his door and said that he should keep an eye on the place after I leave. He said he was calling his stepdad now. If that sound in the bushes was a burglar I hope I scared him off for good.

FEBRUARY 2, 2011

Got up early enough to call KOOL FM and request they play I Got You Babe at 5:57 (if you saw the movie Groundhog Day you'll get the connection.) Recorded the station on tape; they played my call over the air and then the song! Haven't done that in a while!

FEBRUARY 1, 2011

Seemed to make some $$ on waiting time. Been a pretty good week so far. Hope I can remember to make my annual call to KOOL FM tomorrow.

JANUARY 25, 2011

Joined YouTube and then Facebook. It has been a productive night.

JANUARY 20, 2011

Got to go to In-N-Out again, right near an office I delivered to. Ordered the food, delivered the document, then picked up the food. Lady in office showed me a shortcut back to parking lot of In-N-Out.
Didn't get to phones. 2 single deliveries and then a triple. On the triple, the Scandinavian guy that one guy said always stiffed actually paid a higher tip than the other two stops. At QuikTrip tonight on the way to Gamers Inn, the guy behind the counter asked be about the $5 pizza special. I wasn't sure (hey I'm a driver) so I called the Alma School and Main store whose delivery area I was in. She told me 2nd Saturday of every month, I told the guy and he thanked me (hey, don't thank ME -- thank Mix 96.9 for my going to QuikTrip -- they played that Christina Perri song and I got so into it that after it ended I missed my freeway exit by two miles!)

JANUARY 17, 2011

Was off courier job today due to King holiday. Worked pizza tonight and mentioned to mgr I wanted to brush up on phones.

JANUARY 16, 2011

Well, we were too busy for me to try and do phones but there will be other days. Made good on tips though. Even delivered to someone at a hotel (when she answered the knock I said "room service" (like I usually do when i deliver to hotel rooms), this person had about the same name as someone i knew at DeVry but it wasn't her.

JANUARY 15, 2011

Ok, granted my foot is still messed up. I went to work at the ASU store anyway. Didn't call off. Got there a minute early in fact. Things were going okay although with my foot not up to par and me working til closing I was expecting a long night. Got the change money from the mgr on duty, who looked a bit like a young Martha Plimpton or Ariana Richards. Then a phone order came in and Bonnie wanted me to answer it. I'm a little rusty on phones but I took the order. After I told the guy the total he said he had a coupon. Ok so I should have asked him earlier. I had hit F10 too soon and the order went through before he told me this so I asked how to void it out. Because I had to get help, the mgr on duty seemed to think a little less of me. I was sensing some bad vibes with her and when I got to the complex I wasn't in too big a hurry to find the apartment of the guy. Delivered his pizza but if I had stuck around his door a bit longer I might have gotten a contact high. Later, back at the store, the phone rang again and I made a slow move towards it, then she said, "You're not allowed on phones" and laughed a bit. Taking this personally, I said nothing. After my fourth run she said I wasn't going to be the late guy after all; I was to gather trash and then she'd let me go home. I did my last run, a delivery to a cool Japanese guy and I decided to be extra friendly, saying 'kon ichi wa' and, as I was getting ready to leave, 'arigato gozaimashta'. He paid me in a 10 and five crisp sequential singles. He seemed to get a kick out of the Japanese phrases. Well, I took out the trash and even picked up two discarded pizza boxes someone had left on top of one of the communal trash cans outside. The one bright spot was that with my left foot in bad shape, I was mercifully allowed to go home.

So...I'm too stupid to answer phones, am I? We'll see about that. I'm going to ask to answer phones more and hopefully get a 105 on a secret shop. HA - I'LL show HER....and it all starts tomorrow night at the next PJ's over. Cody's a pretty cool dude; he shouldn't have a problem with it.

JANUARY 14, 2011

A last minute run to Scottsdale and a painful foot are what made me decide to skip the Peoria dance tonight. Plus the fact that Katy was recuperating made this an easy decision.

JANUARY 12, 2011

Worked at the ASU store tonight and made good tips. Bonnie is cool. I'm still not looking forward to Saturday though.

JANUARY 11, 2011

Appointment at VA went well, BP is good, 129 over eighty something. Went to Papa John's to give Markus's ride the form to fill out for the dance. Mgr offered me more hours working at the ASU store a couple days: tomorrow night rush and Saturday til closing. Went to Gamers Inn tonight instead of watching my usual shows because this could be the last time I get online for a few days.
Put in $11.11 worth of gas at QT pump #11, but I was three minutes early -- the receipt said the time was 11:08.

JANUARY 9, 2011

Let us all stop and pray for those who lost loved ones in the Tucson tragedy, as well as Gabrielle Giffords.

JANUARY 8, 2011

We're national news again -- some nutcase shot a bunch of people in Tucson, including a congresswoman. I called my aunt/godmother in Long Island today and told her about it.

JANUARY 7, 2011

Katy and Ashley were at the dance; I gave them their Christmas ornaments. Katy won't be going next week because she's having surgery on Wednesday to straighten out her hand. Picked up a form for Markus to fill out.

JANUARY 5, 2011

FINALLY GOT THE CAR HOME!!!! More on this later.

JANUARY 1, 2011

1/1/11. Went to pump #1 at Spark Fuel and put in $11.11 worth of regular before going to visit Susan at the burn unit.

DECEMBER 31, 2010

And so another year goes into history. Got oil changed today for the first time since 2007 I think. Truck is cleaner inside. Made 9 delvieries and good bucks. Even got to go to the Mesa & Brown store to get ten trays of large dough balls. That place was Grand Central Station compared to our store!

Bought some ground bloom flowers and after going to Gamers Inn I went back and bought a Crackling Cactus firework. Saw the last part of Get Crazy on This TV and turned off the last song before the end so I could pray in the new year.

DECEMBER 30, 2010

Got to see SNOW at 28th Drive and Cactus Rd. and a few more flurries about a half mile south of there!
I had been worried about getting to the insurance place before 5 so I could start the process of legalizing driving the car. I called David to tell him about the snow and he told me that Susan got seriously burned this morning while trying to make hamburgers for breakfast. Her cotton jammies torched up. Please pray for her as she is in the Maricopa County burn unit.

(All of a sudden my problems didn't seem so bad....)

BTW, after racing to get the deliveries done and calling the insurance place on the phone, I managed to to get the car re-insured. Mechanic wouldn't be there Friday so the car will have to wait for 2011.

Almost, but not quite: I finished up in Chandler and was on my way to the insurance place. Got as far north as almost to Guadalupe Rd. when I got a call to go back to the place I had picked up from, back on Arizona Ave. Didn't make it to the insurance after all but talked to them on the phone.

Prayer meeting was good but sparse. Guy came in to use the restroom and we got him to pray with us.

Had a record day at work and asked to deliver the last document after Papa John's. They said ok.

DECEMBER 26, 2010

Got to see Allyson and David today at her parents' home. Ate more ham. Gave them their present (fruit bowl) and gag gift (the 8 fruits I put in the bowl).

DECEMBER 25, 2010

Called relatives in NY today. Curtice is engaged! Talked to just about everyone over at Kristin's. Ate dinner at my pastor's home. Ham was delicious.

DECEMBER 24, 2010

Paid off the car bill today! Had the insurance place been open I'd probably be driving it now.

The $35 was a bit more than enough for a brand new tire. God is good all the time.

DECEMBER 20, 2010

Gave sympathy card to Andrew at PL$. When I got there I noticed my left rear tire was flat. Took 20 mins to change it. Found a nail, which makes me think I can get it fixed. Received two checks from aunts in the mail, one for $10 the other for $25.

DECEMBER 19, 2010

Not bad working in the afternoon. Did 18 deliveries, and even with two stiffs and three change tips I still pulled in good $. Kinda like old times =)

DECEMBER 17, 2010

Got truck insurance caught up. No dance tonight but I was on the schedule to work.
