And so another year goes into history. Got oil changed today for the first time since 2007 I think. Truck is cleaner inside. Made 9 delvieries and good bucks. Even got to go to the Mesa & Brown store to get ten trays of large dough balls. That place was Grand Central Station compared to our store!
Bought some ground bloom flowers and after going to Gamers Inn I went back and bought a Crackling Cactus firework. Saw the last part of Get Crazy on This TV and turned off the last song before the end so I could pray in the new year.

Got to see SNOW at 28th Drive and Cactus Rd. and a few more flurries about a half mile south of there!
I had been worried about getting to the insurance place before 5 so I could start the process of legalizing driving the car. I called David to tell him about the snow and he told me that Susan got seriously burned this morning while trying to make hamburgers for breakfast. Her cotton jammies torched up. Please pray for her as she is in the Maricopa County burn unit.
(All of a sudden my problems didn't seem so bad....)
BTW, after racing to get the deliveries done and calling the insurance place on the phone, I managed to to get the car re-insured. Mechanic wouldn't be there Friday so the car will have to wait for 2011.

Almost, but not quite: I finished up in Chandler and was on my way to the insurance place. Got as far north as almost to Guadalups Rd. when I got a call to go back to the place I had picked up from, back on Arizona Ave. Didn't make it to the insurance after all but talked to them on the phone.
Prayer meeting was good but sparse. Guy came in to use the restroom and we got him to pray with us.

Gave sympathy card to Andrew at PL$. When I got there I noticed my left rear tire was flat. Took 20 mins to change it. Found a nail, which makes me think I can get it fixed. Received two checks from aunts in the mail, one for $10 the other for $25.

After delivering a router to Fountain Hills, got to hang out there for over an hour then got sent to Rural and 60. Still made good $ today. Got dropped in the west valley again! Made it to the City of Mesa again though and paid the rest of the late fee. Water bill balance is 0.00 for the first time in I can't remember.
ARRGH! Missed Raising Hope tonight! Hope I can watch it online.

Got to go to Gold Canyon again. Got dropped in the West valley, near 64h Dr. and Thomas, but was able to get to the City of Mesa with time to spare. On the way I withdrew $160 and had $6 from last night's tips and some change. Found out the water bill had a late fee attached and total was now 169.33 instead of 166.06. I paid 166.40.

Got $8 in take home $. Highlight of the night: I was to deliver a pizza to a Taco Bell down on Main. I asked our mgr (only half-seriously or so at best) if I could go through the drive thru. She said Yeah go for it, and I did. Easy delivery -- didn't even have to get out of the truck!

HOW TO LOOK AT A PERCEIVED BAD THING FROM A NEW PERSPECTIVE: I delivered a Pizza to a guy, and the lady in the apartment across from him came up the stairs and they talked for a bit. Seemed he was going through hard times and would probably soon have to move out. He didn't tip me, but after overhearing this I think I understand. God timed that lady's arrival right so I wouldn't hold any grudge.

Got to work at Pat's store tonight (Southern/McClintock). Lots of deliveries and many many carryouts. Deliveries were being dispatched long after they came in. I had one for 201 W. Hermosa (where Fwowqy & Sproingy used to live) and whoever designed that apartment complex put a lot of the lettered buildings out of order! I couldn't find the place and was getting VERY frustrated - I had a second delivery to make! I called PJ's twice I think, and they said they were sending her another delivery with wings added and for me to bring that one back. I eventually found the place. I called PJs and asked them if I could just give the person the stuff, they said ok. Lady didn't seem upset. Guy on second delivery (which must have been at least an hour and a half) was REALLY cool and not upset at all -- he even tipped me four bucks!

A little excitement today. Driving around with 14 boxes of stuff in the bed of the truck, I picked up something at a place near Kierland and the dispatcher said to go get another package they had. I had to wait for the package. After about 10-15 mins I called dispatch and told them I was waiting. They said drop off the other one on Pima and come back. I told the lady they wantyed me to do that and she asked if I could wait. She wanted to call the office and I let her use my cell. Finally after about 32 mins waiting time I got to pick up the package and another one they had. Thew one package had to be there by 3 I gather, or someone was going to lose their house. the guy had flown in from Kansas to sign the paperwork. I certainly didn't wanty anyone to lose their home as I could be losing mine. After I picked it up the lady said she'd "write a raving letter" to my company; they were so grateful. I dropped off the first one on Pima and then went on the 101 to 67th Avenue and Bell. There was some slowing and for a bit I didn't think I was going to make it. But I got there at 2:56 and hopefully saved this guy's house.
I sitll had the 14 boxes in the truck and was going to drop them off at the Sprouts warehouse but dispatch wanted me to go to 19th Ave. first, probably because they had a pickup there as well. When I finally got to Sprouts there was no knock on either door. I had to go real bad but I held it. I had to deliver something to 21st and Deer Valley and when I got there the glass dorrs were locked and the lights were off. The envelope wouldn't fit under the doors. I looked for a restroom but both of them needed key codes. I went downstairs and one of the srcurity guys asked me if I was looking for a restroom. I said "How'd ya guess?" He told me where one was and I got some relief. I had an idea: I went bak to the 2nd floor and tried to slip the envelope between the glass doors, pulling one a little to give me more space. I noticed a guy in the office and he unlocked the door. I went in and he signed for the package.
I had to take the 14 boxes back to the office. On the way down Deer Valley Rd. I saw eight hot air balloons to the north, and one on the other side of the mountain apparently getting ready to land.

Found out that the Oro Valley run paid 60% commission instead of 50%! So October 26 is the new record day for me! Also, this was my biggest one-week paycheck ever. Praise God for providing for me!
Didnt go to the dance tonight because I got home late and was tired (ALLYSON: CALL GUINNESS.) Besides, Katy probably wasn't there either.

Not a bad day at work but not the best either. Lady at bank signed the wrong two places after I dropped the bags off. It was a blessing in disguise though because I had to use a third page anyway. Ended up not too far from where Alicia (Avatar) lives.

Best night in a LONG time at Papa John's. After getting a $10 tip from a really cool black guy I hit a spider web (a real one!) connected to a shrub by his door. There was this greyish spider. A foot or two closer and I woulda got bitten.

Concluded my best week so far at the messenger service. Scott met me outside and put the paycheck through my window and I was on my way west. Shakira Carey gave me Katie's cell number, I couldn't reach her though and she wasn't at the dance.

WOOHOO -- I left the valley for the first time since the end of May 2007!!! Scott gave me a run from Cotton Center to Oro Valley -- not too far from Tucson! Good news -- the two-way radio worked down there -- MORE good news -- so did my cellphone -- now some great news -- I called my bank from there and found that the final ACH withdrawal for PL$ had gone through -- the payday loan is HISTORY!
On the way back I had to avoid a chair that had fallen off a pickup. The guy was pulled over and I asked him if it was his. He said yes and he was going to go back and salvage what he could. After he left I drove back ad retrieved a piece of rope he had used. I was going to catch up to him but he was about four or five cars ahead and it was a two-lane road (Tangerine). He pulled into the McDonald's that I had thought of going to and I handed him the rope. ALso helped him again when I found out they were only taking cash at the moment. He thanked me for all the help; they were moving up north I think.

Got to take home a sausage pizza, decided to bring in to church as they were having a farewell for Aaron and Jami Tufts. I stopped by Taco Bell and bought a STUFT burrito as a gag gift, then went back to my truck and peeled off the S and taped it to the end of the word, making it a TUFTS burrito. A few people got a kick out of it.

Got to church about 10:10 today, 10/10/10. Put $10.10 in offering. Pastor is very sick so I prayed with Linda. Spent afternoon sorting and getting rid of papers. Cards beat Saints 30-20. Gina called and said to come in tomorrow instead of tonight. Went to sing thing at church; prayed with Horst for Pastor. Did more sorting then went to gas station and put $10.10 in tank. Guy ran receipt at 10:10:13. Too bad they only had 8 pumps.

Went to auto loan place; almost got charged over $15 for late w/no call but they took it off. Got truck washed on the outside. Stopped by 4340 and shredded a bunch of stuff. Only two pizza deliveries with one stiff.

On the way to office got flagged down by a guy who didn't know how to change a tire. Helped him quickly then went on to the office. Picked up check then went to final run. Didn't have time to get to Cash-n-Go and my cell was dead. Couldn't find a pay phone. At home I called them but got answering service. Told them I'd be in tomorrow.
Katy and Rachel were at the dance; different person brought each one. They both left within five minutes or so of each other. With them gone, not much reason to stay at the dance so I left early.

Early this morning I dug a shallow grave for Minx. Will put him in permanent grave when time permits. Had a new record day at work, but couldn't get the samples to the VA.

When I got home from Gamers Inn there were two or three piles of blood on the floor. Minx was very quiet for a cat who must have been in pain. Called Pet ER but can't afford much more than the exam fee. Couldn't wait till morning.
He drank a lot of water and I moved him to get a good picture of him and he hissed. That's the only sound he made. I had him on a bedsheet and it was wet when I picked it up. I think there was blood on it too. Something inside him must have burst. Pet ER said they would do a humane euthanasia for free. I felt it would be best.
He was very quiet and behaved on the way there; he didn't make a sound. When I brought him in some blood spattered on the floor and on my shorts. They gave me the option of a last pawprint; it was free so I said yes.
At about 2:20 AM, Minx left his earthly home. He is not suffering anymore. they gave me a nice box with him in it and he will have a dignified burial. He shares his date of death with Lena Zavaroni - October 1.

Did good at work today, but the week isn't as busy as we thought it would be. I went to Gold Canyon on a delivery and the farthest west I went was Central Ave.
Minx not doing well, didn't touch his food. Can't keep anything down it seems. Went to Gamers' Inn to find Dr. Molina. She is now with a mobile vet service.

Glad I got paid -- I only had 48 cents left in the checking account. I was going to stop by Cash-n-Go but I had a delivery that was in a cooler on ice and I wanted to hurry up and get it there. Going up Grand Ave. I almost stopped by Gompers. It was about the time Katie was to leave but I had to get gas and food.
Got to Mesa at a reasonable time, showered and went to Papa John's. Called Marcus, ALMOST took him to the dance but it was kind of short notice and would have taken an extra half hour for him to get ready. I'd rather use the car instead anyway.
Dance was good up to a point. I won a cake! However, triumph was followed by heartbreak as I went to get snack and Katie and her ride left without saying goodbye.

Liberation Day observance was muted due to a V.A. Appointment. First time since '07 I had seen the doc and he said he thought I had passed on. Got flu shot, prostate check (OWW) meds and SIX pair of compression stockings to replace the ones that are worn out.
Talked to Megan for the first time in ages; in addition to Liberation Day (and the 29th anniversary of the day Jennifer kicked me off cloud nine) it is also Megan's 29th birthday.
Payday loan withdrawals are 2/3 done. They liberated another $157 from my account.

Got to pick up my check and drop off paperwork in early afternoon. Last run was on Greenfield so I was able to eat and take a shower before the dance. Better to be a little late and smell good than on time and stinky. Got there a little after 7:20 and people were still on line. Heard they started a bit late.
Katie was there again! Dance was enjoyable. Only one week break and next dance is on the 24th -- it must be getting more popular!

Saw Katie at the dance again! This apparently is the third dance in a row she's been to and the second in a row I've seen her! They left early though. =(

YA LIVE, YA LEARN: I assumed that Glenhaven was a road in Phoenx proper; I took 15th Ave. from Buckeye to Dunlap before asking for help. Found out it's on the other side of South Mountain. Not wanting to deal with Broadway curve I took 17 to 19th to Baseline to 51st hoping to go around. Pecos didn't go through! not much went through when 51st turned to Beltline and Riggs. I was never so glad to see the 347 in my life. On the way to the 10 I was hitting about 90. Finally found the place with a bit more help. I now have a map of that area so this hopefully won't happen again.

Richard drove me to church today and we both attended the service. Got to stop by after work too; business was slow and I only did two runs. Worked on Fastback book; now there are only eleven days left in the story before its written all the way through.

Radio wasn't working too well today; swapped it out when I went to the office.
GOT PAID! I strolled into PL$ feeling like a miilionaire and paid the loan down by $59.41.
Dance was okay; I don't think Ashley could eat a whole thing of cheese balls so then I offered her one and she ate it. I met a girl named Kay, and later a Hispanic girl named Sofia wanted to dance with me. I gave Kelsea a ride home (she and her bf even helped push start the truck) and when I got to her house I stopped in her driveway. I got into the bed of the truck to get the bikee out and I had forgotten the door handles were busted. I was going to open her door when I noticed the truck was rolling backwards. I hadn't put the brake on all the way apparently. I jumped out and ran behind the truck to the drivers side and fixed the situation before anything happened. Shoulda run around the front; coulda run myself over.

We got off at 11:30. PROOF THERE IS A GOD: I went into Toni's office and we got to talking about picking up my paycheck. She called Teramar and they allowed me to pick it up TODAY! I made the insurance payment, with no lapse in coverage! Also visited Ricky the mechanic. Car is done; just need funds.
Wasn't going to go in to the dance but I am glad I did. Christina (from the 10/30/09 attempt to topple 9/21/81) was there! Dance would have been drab otherwise - no Katie or Kelsea.

Got a call from the bank. Application process is started for the home equity loan but I am not getting my hopes up. Got to church about 6:35 and about the only other one there was 'Callen'. We prayed together and the message later was on Proverbs 11. Prayed with Jess and Steve. Pastor Wood and his wife gave me a ride home, letting me stop by McD's and get food.

Took the bus to work again. On the way back I dozed off and Sharon woke meup when we were getting close to the 1st/Van Buren stop. I dozed off again on the Metro and a guy (I think he was a security guard) woke me up at Main and Sycamore. I thanked him.

Took the bus again today, sat next to Sharon. We got off at 11:30 so I made enough to pay loans next week. Finished the pizza. BofA contacted me but I couldn't get the help I needed. They put someone else on the line, who transferred me to someone else, who transferred me to the account info line. I think I pressed another number and got disconnected. Not a way to run customer service.

Went to church tonight. Pastor helped me out and he even gave me a ride home. We stopped at McD's and he treated.

Aaron Tufts got his Ph.D. in (I think) photosynthesis. The guy looks a lot like Callen from NCIS: LA. One of the hymns we sang had a compound time signature. Our guest speaker was from Faith Baptist Bible College. Quoted Matthew 9:35 and John 1:1, among other verses, pointing out that we need harvesters.

Richard stopped by today. I went to work and there were I tihnk four driver vehicles there. I was clocking on when they told me to go home. If they do this again tomorrow I'm thinking of calling Rosati's. Thye pay $3 per delivery instead of $1.45.

Took a huge stack of newspapers to Greenfield and Main and talked with Don and Gina for a bit after getting Taco Bell. Newspaper bin was full so I drove to Phoenix with the papers and made the loan payments. On the way back I found a bin at Stapley and McKellips that had space and got rid of the papers. Cleaned up the kitchen a bit. Richard came home. I went to feed the SRP Monster and when I got back I learned that Margaret had come by. I called her on the phone. She was still somewhat impressed with my cleaning efforts although I think I could ahve done better.

Tried a new tactic for the dance: if no interesting girl shows up (i.e. Katie, Hannah, maybe Ashley) then I keep my four bucks and go home. I waited outside and by about 8:00 it looked like no one interesting was going to show. Then I saw Kelsea there and decided to stay. Found out she has a boyfriend, but it was still a good dance. I asked about Christina (from the 10-30-09 attempt to topple 9-21-81) and she called her but Christina wasn't home.

Checked out on one delivery but Mike urged me to take a double because they were so close. At Lindsay and Main a lady was in the left lane with a cop flashing his colored lights behind her. She moved into the crosswalk on a red light and soomeone going north on Lindsay in an SUV honked at her. When the light turned green she didn't move and the cop put his siren on. I had the second elivery to make so I didn't stick around. Glad I took the two deliveries -- when I got back Nicole told me to gather the trash because she was sending me home. Took home $10.10 but te dime was a fluke because I found it in the second customer's driveway and told her about it but she gave it to me, adding to the tip.

Finally opened the DVD of Revenge Of The Sith. Was only going to watch a couple of scenes, including Padme's funeral, but I would up watching the whole movie because it was so GOOD. One thing ticked me off: When Padme was giving birth, there was supposed to be the scene where R2 beeps and C3PO says "It's some kind of reproductive process I think." They cut it! ARRGH!

Power ran out before I thought it would, as The Price Is Right came on. I put $25 on the card and saw Pastor's wife in Safeway. I couldn't get the mtere going again so I called SRP. They said battery might be low.
Push-started the truck and went to Fry's and got a new battery and stopped by Papa John's. Battery didn't work. I took a nap. After power had been out over 6 hours I called SRP. They said to disconnect and reconnect the battery. Didn't work. Then they said to push both buttons at once. THAT worked. Richard came home and wasn't sure the milk was still good so I went to get him more and the truck wouldn't start at all! I missed church. Later we found out that the positive terminal cable was broken but exposed at the end so I could just reconnect it.

Couldn't find the charger for the good camera and the batteries for the old ones were dead as doornails. I charged up the old camera phone and took it with me. At 7:18 pm, on Val Vista Drive going towards Main, returning from a delivery, the odometer rolled over to 300,000. I puled to a sidestreet and took a photo which I will post later hopefully.

Friends came through for me tonight. I also got to work at Papa John's and get $34 in tips, the lion's share of which went to the tank.

Took the bus this morning. A lady got on and asked about going to McKellips or McDowell ro seomthing and took up a lot of the driver's time. I just missed the 5:10 train and havd to get the next one. I wound up missing the #3 bus I usually take but caught the next one. I got to see the Danielle lookalike again and saw Jose and Louis the Baler on the bus. I stopped at McD's for breakfast anyway and decided to take Van Buren to work. Good thing I did -- a co-worker spotted me and gave me a lift the rest of the way so I was able to relax and eat my breakfast in the break room. THERE IS A GOD!

The welcome back dance was WELL WORTH IT. Katy was there! Not only that, I got to keep and eye on her and Rachel when whatsherface used the bathroom. I slow danced with Katy a lot. We didn't win cakes but whatsherface won four cupcakes and shared them with us. Can't go next week, I have to work Friday night. Brian (from the dance) said he was going to be in downtown Mesa on Saturday. I'd like him to meet Margaret.

This morning I started thinking of the movie Stand And Deliver for some reason. Then, at Mcdonald's on the way to work, they had the news on and I heard that Jamie Escalante (the subject of the film) passed away! Later while going through stuff in a dresser drawer, I found a movie stub for that show, dated 6/4/88. The Sunvalley 10 Theaters aren't even there anymore!

This was the first dance I had been to since January. Took Danielle there, but no one was there to dance with -- not even Ashley. The music was a little different and John played a couple of goos tunes, but he told me later that the hard drive got dropped and they lost all the other music. He said this was the worst dance ever and that he noticed people just standing around.

Mechanic got the truck done in the afternoon. I walked all the way to Kinkos after stopping by the shop and I sent a msg to web host requesting a call. While I was in the Gold Pawn I got the call and asked if they could delay the debit. They did even more -- they forgave it! Now I might be able to get the truck registered.
Mechanic told me he cleaned the EGR valve and reset the timing. Acceleration is a little messed up but I drove it about 30 miles -- up Gilbert to the 202, then down the SanTan over to Higley. Lots of farming area down there. Up Higley to Brown to Greenfield and on to the smog place. I got there about 5:45 and was the only one there for a bit! They tested it fully, apparently but the dyno rolls were coming up so I didn't see the deceleration thing on the monitor. The guy had me drive all the way out of the building this time and said that the mechanic must have cleaned it good because I PASSED! I called Gina and told her the good news.

Drove to Power Rd. and filled up at QT with Premium. Drove down Power to the 60 to the 202 north to Greenfield and to the inspection place. I failed again! This time everything went up. First two passed but the NOX shot up to 5.06!

We got off at 3 so I cold make a try to get the auto loan paid. I took the 3 bus to the 19. The bus was #8063, just like the 4077th's sister unit in M*A*S*H. I snapped a photo of it. The driver was so cool I considered putting in a compliment at the Valley Metro website. I misjudged my stop so he let me off at Osborn at the light and I walked to the bank. I took another 19 the rest of the way but I wished I'd gone all the way to Bethany because the BofA there turned out to be full service too. This 19 bus was crowded and I had to stand up all the way with my bag over my shoulder. And then along came today's winner of the sarcastic You-Meet-The-Nicest-People award. She was a middle-aged woman who had her little son (or grandson) with her. The kid didn't look more than 7 I think. They were getting off at Camelback and I guess she didn't like me standing near the rear exit. I was actually a bit forward of it, not really blocking it. The boy asked her a question and I heard her reply, "No, they just want to block the door to keep you from gettin' off." Oh really -- is THIS what we should teach our children, instead of helpful phrases like 'excuse us'?

Called Toni and took the day off to prepare to get the truck ready. Walked down to The Adams Agency and got insurance, then to the MVD to get a temporary plate. I put it on and I had to get a jump start from Chase next door. I drove to the smog place and let the engine run when I was in line. When my turn came up, the had me sut off the truck. They couldn't get it started again so they didn't test it. They gave me a push start and I went home.

I waited at the Cricket store but I couldn't get the phone back on because I didn't have the authroization number that was on the card. I had left the card in the car. ARRGH! I took a bus to Gamers Inn and got online here for a while until it was almost time for the Stapley bus.

The guy at the Montessori school let me use a cell phone to call work and I had to limp the car home. Richard gave me a ride to work and I cashed out. This could be the start of something major.

Talked to the pool guy today. The prayer must have worked, because I told him my situation and that I'd send off a $30 check, and he said he'd call off the lien, possibly because I contacted him.

Here's a classic bad day for ya: I picked up Allyson and gave her the card and gag gift. I dropped her off at Jerry and Sue's place and met their two friends Richard and Lisa. Hoping to get gas money, I got nothing. Super Bowl Sunday turned out to be a big bunch of nothing as far as dleiveries went; I made just less than ten dollars. Plus, the Saints won. I wanted the Colts to beat the team who beat our Cardinals, but I guess Nawlins needed this after Katrina and all. Later I found out that Allyson's friend Richard had taken the gag gift back to Phoenix with him inadvertently.

First day at the new Papa John's location was good. the Drivers area reminds me so much of Southern and McClintock. The equipment seems to be all new. Plus we now sell some things called Pizza Rolls. Mike suggested a driver door and I passed it on to Brian. He seemed to think it was a good idea. They have the drivers only door at Pizza Hut at Lndsay and Broadway.

I was treated to fish and chips dinner and some cash for the video game thing. Gave two dudes a ride home and one guy gave me a $5. Very worthwhile trip. Dude said he'd see me there tomorrow night.

I got a Christmas cookie for Ashley. I told Brian why I missed the last dance, and he told me that Katy was there! ARRRRRGH! I shoulda scrounged up the four bucks!
Ok. I'd put $16 in the bank account this afternoon to cover the newsviper fee. After checking it at Gamers' Inn, I found I was still 71 cents short of the required amount! Not having enough in my PayPal account, I had to think fast. I decided to transfer $5 from my savings to more than cover the automatic withdrawal. Let's hope this works . . .

Parents were putting a baby to sleep, then while they were talking in the other room they heard the baby start to cry over the monitor, then an adult voice in a creepy way said, "help meeeee..." this was like watching a horror movie! NCIS: LA was a rerun I'd seen before.

Sean was there and helped me out with a few bucks for the SRP machine. When I got home (with McD lunch) the power had been off for two hours and some change. I put the $3 on and got it back up at about 1:43.
Rene' helped me out a bit with some bucks when I met her, Richard, C3PO and Shelley at Ted's. Haven't done that in ages! Put $8 on the tank at spark fuel with the motor running. Didn't have time to wait for a chance to push start it, too many cars what with them selling gas at the bargain price of $2.55.
Didn't go to Native New Yorker OR Gamers tonight. Low dough.
Gamers Inn parking lot was too crowded so I just drove home.
Saw the same lady on the return #3 bus in the afternoon. Looking at somethin gin here hand after we got off the bus I found out her name is Sharon. On the way home I got tired of waiting for the #30 bus so I took the purple #40 express. A couple exited one of the rear doors with their small daughter and I heard the mother yell, "A--wipe!" then the father exclaimed, "Get off the bus!" and hit the door like he wanted to fight someone. He then came up to the front door, less agitated, and told the driver that the door almost crushed their little girl. He also admitted to hitting the door. The driver, extremely calm, apologized and said that sometimes they can't always see back there. Everything settled down after that.
Walked from Main St. to Central Christian Church, where the polling place was. I hadn't been able to find my early ballot and had to use a provisional one. After voting no on Proposition 100 I went home. Missed about the first fifteen minutes or so of NCIS.

The Phoenix Suns' come-from-behind win over the Spurs was on at the Community Center tonight. It was the best thing about the dance. Also Brian told me Katy was at one of the dances I missed cuz I worked. Bummer!
Greenock chat room was acting weird this morning. I went to a different room and changed my name to timbuk4 but when I went back to Greenock room the connection was closed for chat. Later I logged off and went to terminal #40, which turned out to have better sound anyway. I got in the room this time. enya came in but left almost immediately! FUNNY MOMENT: I went out to get my car topper and it wasn't on the roof! Vanessa told me to go to Fry's and check the security footage. Lady at Customer Service told me I would have to file a police report. I went back to PJs and called the cops. Outside, I met Mike who just came back from a run. I told him about the missing car topper and he said he drove around and saw it on the other side of my truck! I checked and sure enough it was there! Someone was messing with me! I called the cops and cancelled the report.
Only did one delivery before they let me go but I got a $6 tip. Almost went to the dance anyway but I decided to save the gas.
Cleaned the kitchen and microwave tonight. Margaret was impressed. She also got the good meat off the turkey and picked up her pan and cookware.
Had some turkey and cooked some rice tonight. IT's good eating the way Richard does; I just can't bring myself to keep it up. Lots of work lol.

Van Buren Follies: I saw a girl on the bus who looked a little like Danielle with Megan's glasses. Then four people were running for the bus and caught it at 35th Avenue IIRC. Two guys and two girls, looking in their twentysomethings, all had what appeared to be backpacks and bedrools. One guy with a hat had a guitar case. Once some people got off one of the girls was able to sit next to me. They were travelers who liked to hop freight trains. We all got off by Central Station and I said something liek 'nice meeting you' and even worked in a John 3:16. But then they got on the Metro Rail too. I mentioned, "This is a good ride." They got off at one of the ASU stops. They seemed pretty cool.
Took the bus to the light rail to 19th and Montebello. Went to Wal-mart to get a money order. At customer service I heard the ATM going "Please take your cash" and whoever had used it had left. There were a few 20s sticking out and I told the lady about it. She got the money and I suggested she hold it in case the person came back. Then I got hte money order and took the #60 to 7th St. and walked to Cash-n-Go and dropped the payment through the sdlto about 7:45. Didn't have to wait long for a bus at all -- the 7 came along and I got to go to Central Station. Got back to Safeway a little after 9:30 I think.
Oh by the way, I walked to Walgreen's behind the bus stop to call Cash-N-Go and I think I missed the bus. It was almost 5 anyway so it was too late.
I made 7 deliveries. Despite one stiff, I still took home 29 bucks.
I called Stacey from a pay phone at Fry's at 67th and Bethany. The 15 mins ran out as we were winding up the convo so I called back and talked to her caretaker for a bit. I didn't go to the dance due to a housewrming party at Brian's new digs, about two blocks from his dad. I saw Paul Brown there, as well as several people from Northwest Baptist.
Tonight, channel 10 news had a feature on Valentines' Day. At about 9:37 PM they mentioned Papa John's heart-shaped pizzas and showed one with pepperoni and one with sausage on their newscast. Hope this does good with sales/deliveries tomorrow.

I heard on the radio that they're pulling the image of Brittany Murphy off of the red box DVD machines. they had the DVD to Deadline at Blockbuster. Maybe I could make a few bucks on eBay.
Kelsea called her dad to pick her up at Taco Bell. Danielle and I decided to go there and wait with her until her dad showed up.
